| Bio: | Who I am in a nutshell: Sometimes shy, sometimes provocative. Sometimes sweet, sometimes bitter. Overly intelligent, yet frequently lose the car keys. Can always find the area under the curve, but can never add 2 plus 2 without using my fingers. Love to read to escape, yet ironically prefer to read only non-fiction or fiction that provides some type of biting or muckraking commentary on society. I'm a wannabe incessant traveler and would still love to conquer the world one day. Love to cook, but rarely have the necessary groceries in the kitchen. Easily bored with life and tend to become whimsical when restless. Always enjoy going out with friends to dinner and movies, but still consider a solitary bubble bath and a glass of wine to be a GREAT Saturday night. Music tastes range from silly to sultry to solemn and am desperately trying to live a life free of Mariah Carey, J. Lo, and Celine Dion. Born and raised in a small farm town in Illinois (no, I did NOT go cow tipping as a child), love city life, but at the current time reside in suburbia. A natural born couch potato but make it a habit to stay active with aerobics, weightlifting, kickboxing and hiking. Have two degrees in physical anthropology but have (sigh) become a cog in the corporate wheel. Would love to save the world but have enough trouble saving myself. Take cats over dogs any day (but like both). Prefer red over white (but easily appreciates both). Love good seafood and equally enjoy both fresh sushi and old fashioned fried catfish. Spiritually grounded, but NOT religious. Currently searching for everlasting enlightenment in addition to searching for a great deal on a pair of shoes. Believe that the key to a happy life is to surround yourself with those that care about you and to be thankful for each and every day that you are alive. |
